Samantha Jade is back in a big way with a big, bold and brash pop song that is highly addictive and will hopefully see her back on top of the charts.
Without a shadow of a doubt, Samantha Jade is the best find that Australia's X-Factor has made. Her back catalogue is full of some great singles, her post X-Factor debut, "What You've Done To Me" is all kinds of brilliant. And while she may not always get the coverage she deserves, she continues to produce good quality pop tracks. I am very much looking forward to her album later this year.
"Shake That" is polished in all the right places, slickly produced, it doesn't sound like an Aussie only release, it sounds like a great track from one of the world's top pop divas. Utilising a major hip-hop star, Pitbull, she guarantees more attention. And while his verse is fun, this song is all about Samantha Jade.
Samantha Jade is sounding great here and the beat is great. From the thumping intro you know you're in for something special; it really does make me want to dance. The lyrics are very fun; a female empowerment song as such. She tells prospective suitors, "One foot in, one foot out, gotta step up if you want to get down". This is a lady who demands respect.
As I said, this is a great tune. Let's hope it gets the airplay needed to make this the massive hit it deserves to be. Thanks for the new music Ms Jade, keep it coming!
