Top 5 Songs: Christina Aguilera

I sometimes forget how much I really do love Christina Aguilera. Then I'll hear a song or a clip of hers and am reminded of how awesome she is. My latest reminder, her great guest appearance on a favourite show of mine, "Nashville". Seeing her battle it out last week with Hayden Panettiere  was amazing. Then I was compiling this list and listened to her back catalogue again and realised she truly is one of the best vocalists in the world.

Single of the Week: Fight Song - Rachel Platten

There's something pretty special about amazing singer / songwriters, they have a knack of writing and singing from the heart, and when they get it right it is brilliant. Rachel Platten's "Fight Song" is a perfect example of this - it is all kinds of stunning.

Top 5 Songs: TLC

You can’t really think of amazing 90s songs without thinking of the truly incredible, and slightly insane, TLC. They ruled the charts in the mid-90s with some brilliant and always catchy tunes. Together the trio of Chilli, T-Boz and Left Eye were a formidable team. I have so many amazing memories attached to so many of their songs, so it seemed fitting that this week’s Top 5 list celebrates my favourite songs of this iconic pop / R&B girl group.

Single of the Week: King - Years & Years

Now we're talking, I am truly loving this song right now. It's a former UK number one and it's just so bloody catchy, the awesome, "King" by the very funky Years & Years - a much deserved single of the week.

Single of the Week: Ghosttown - Madonna

Single number two for the "Rebel Heart" and it's a stunning ballad, a beautiful example of how Madonna can command an incredible ballad. For anyone who doubted that Madonna had returned to form, they need to listen to this song and watch the incredible video.

Top 5 Songs: Sugababes

Sugababes truly are one of my favourite girl groups of all time, even if they have had more line up changes than Destiny's Child. Over their eleven year career they had some amazing singles and some albums I loved listening to. And while the three original girls are reforming under a new name, Sugababes as we knew them, are gone. So time to look back at their best five songs (well according to me).

Single of the Week: Marvin Gaye (featuring Meghan Trainor) - Charlie Puth

Sometimes something clicks in your brain, a song that you only liked, within a day can grow to become a song that you truly love, a song you can't get out of your internal jukebox - that happened for me with me Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor's "Marvin Gaye".

Top 5 Songs: Kate Ceberano

I've completed a couple of Top 5 lists so far and I thought it was time to add an Aussie artist to the list, and what better Aussie artist than this countries finest vocalists of all time, the wondrous Ms Kate Ceberano.
