Album Review: Glory Days - Little Mix

Album number four for the uber talented ladies of Little Mix and it may just be their best album yet. "Glory Days" is a joyous celebration of pop and really does see the ladies firing on all cylinders.

By album four many vocal bands are falling apart, egos get in the way and solo careers are sought out. The Spice Girls didn't quite get to four, One Direction were showing some cracks by "Four" and N Sync finished with only three studio albums. So how refreshing it is to see the Little Mix ladies still going strong and getting better?

Little Mix had to work hard to top their last album, "Get Weird", it was a wonderful album that produced some truly amazing singles. And the tour it produced was also amazing, loved seeing the ladies here in Sydney. So is the new album better? Honestly, I'm not sure yet - time will have to tell. The one thing I do know, it certainly has the possibility of being better and definitely just as good. This is a cohesive album with a a great flow and some slickly produced pieces of pop gold.

The ladies sound fierce here, their voices are getting stronger and together they are harmonising beautifully. They work so beautifully together and they bring such a great sense of fun to these tracks. This is the type of album to put on when you're in a bad mood and soon you'll be smiling and singing along.

First single, "Shout Out To My Ex" is brilliant. "Black Magic" was a brilliant first album single, so it's nice to see them release another strong first single to showcase the album. I wonder how Zayn feels about this song - it certainly is a great diss track and I guess the old saying, "Success is the best revenge" is very pertinent here.

There's some great songs on the album, "Touch" has a brilliant chorus and "F.U" is the type of fun and dramatic song that we expect from the Little Mix ladies. Their duet with Charlie Puth, "Oops", is a very solid track and would make a great single. "You Gotta Not" has a great beat and "Power" is a passionate tune with, dare I say, powerful vocals. "Your Love" has an excellent chorus and a nice slow groove, while ""Nobody Like You" is heartbreakingly beautiful. "No More Sad Songs" is undeniably catchy and "Private Show" is just as good as Britney's current single.

Little Mix have done it again. Without a doubt, they are the number one vocal group in the world today. Long may they reign!
