Single of the Week: All Cried Out - Blonde featuring Alex Newell

Alex Newell has an amazing voice, absolutely amazing. Paired with the epic dance beats of UK deep house beat producers, Blonde; "All Cried Out" is a song that truly deserves to be a hit here in Australia, and right across the world.

So if you're thinking you know the name Alex Newell, you probably do. He was a contestant on the first season of "The Glee Project", and then later on to become a regular as Unique, the transgender student with the massive voice, on "Glee". His cover of "If I Were a Boy" made my top ten list of best "Glee" songs ever.

Alex is an interesting one, while still finding himself on "The Glee Project", he seems to have grown into himself and his talent. He is a truly fascinating artist and I am so excited that British dance music seems to have adopted him as their own. Right now he has this single out and also a great track with Clean Bandit.

Blonde were best known for their great track last year, "I Loved You", but "All Cried Out" has outperformed it already on the UK charts. There is a great 90s retro sound to the song, it's a club thumper that will have you dancing away carelessly. The beat is amazing and the vocals are flawless. Alex sounds like the diva's of old, all power and passion. Lyrically it's great as well, loving the line, "Boy, I'm all cried out".

Alex Newell is a voice to watch, he is a stunning performer and I can't wait to lose myself in his voice again and again. If you are fan of good pop/dance music and don't know this one, you should check it out. It's a sure fire dance floor anthem for this year!
